Biography

Tavor is a member of Meretz in Israel and since he started his political activity in 2012, he has served in different positions in the party. He recently finished his work as bureau chief and political advisor to the (now former) Meretz chair and Minister of Health, Nitzan Horowitz.

He worked for party election campaigns since 2013 and represents Meretz as a councillor in Haifa municipality. As such he serves as the Head of the Board of the Museums Corporation of Haifa, Head of the Municipal Culture Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee and the LGBT Committee.

Tavor holds a bachelor degree in Agricultural Science and a masters in Public Policies with a speciality in municipal and local government. He was part of the Municipalities’ Cadets Programme of the Ministery of Interior Affairs, and worked in the Arab municipality of Judeide-Maker, near the city of Acre.

A wine enthusiastic, he loves learning languages, baking, and swimming.
