Meretz UK invites you to hear Ahlam Akram discuss the current worrying state of the Middle East and how women on all sides can and must build a better future. Meeting at Hashomer House, 37a Broadhurst Gardens, on Sunday 4 November, starting 7 pm.

Born in Nablus, Palestine, Ahlam lives and works in London, is a renowned champion of peace and human rights and is an excellent speaker! A former member of the Arab Jewish Forum and Joint Action for Israeli-Palestinian Peace, and a cherished mentor to many, she has written numerous articles in the Arabic and English press on issues ranging from Israel and Palestine to women’s rights in the Middle East. Plus she has led BASIRA-backed discussions in Parliamentary committee rooms.
