Tamar Zandberg is Israel’s Minister of Environmental Protection, has served as a member of Knesset for Meretz since 2013 and previously led the party. She is a passionate advocate for fighting against global and regional ecological degradation.
Tamar is also a lifelong promoter of women’s rights, equality, a peaceful negotiated solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and other social justice issues, including the defence of democracy and opposition to racism. Most recently, she headed Israel’s 140-strong delegation to COP 26, the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow.
