On Sunday, April 22, the London-based Palestinian author, Samir el-Youssef, spoke about his much praised first book in English, The Illusion of Return, published by Peter Halban. Meretz UK held its annual summer jamboree on Sunday, 26th August, but this time it was a party with a difference. Guests were not only treated to talks by two unusual therapists, but also enjoyed free consultations afterwards.

Our special visitors were Mavis Klein, therapist and astrologer, and Marvin Shaw, a person-centred colour therapist. Sharing in the fun was a photographer from the Jewish Chronicle, whose pictures of several of those attending the event appeared in the JC a fortnight later. All in all, a successful and unusual event. Many thanks to all those who helped organise a most enjoyable and stimulating event!
