On the evening of Monday 20 April as Yom HaShoah begins, we invite you to join us for a virtual National Holocaust Commemoration marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Shoah and the liberation of Bergen Belsen.

The event includes singing from a virtual children’s choir. Material for joining to a backtrack here. And you can light a yellow candle, about which more information here.

We hope you will join us to remember, to educate the next generation and honour the survivors and refugees. Join us live at www.yomhashoah.org.uk/live

Sadly, due the current coronavirus situation, it is not be possible to bring everyone together on Yom HaShoah on Monday 20 April as originally planned, and with much regret our stadium event has been cancelled.

However, we as a community can and will still remember, and although we cannot be together physically, it is still possible to honour our pledge and remember together as one through the wonders of technology online.

Therefore, on the evening of Monday 20 April as Yom HaShoah begins, we invite you to join us for a virtual National Holocaust Commemoration marking the 75th anniversary of the end of the Shoah and the liberation of Bergen Belsen.

In addition, during the day of Tuesday 21 April, we also invite you to participate in a series of online Holocaust education sessions together with our community and charity partners. Full programme here with participation by these groups: Association of Jewish Refugees, Generation 2 Generation, JW3, Council of Christians and Jews, March of the Living UK, Holocaust Educational Trust, Jewish Museum, UJS, Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, Yom HaShoah Manchester committee, AJEX, National Holocaust Museum Trust, United Synagogue, UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation, René Cassin, Mizrachi UK, University of Cambridge and IHRA, Wiener Library and Learning from the Righteous.
