Time: 7.30pm
Location: Hampstead Shtiebel - 10a Canfield Gardens, London NW6 3JS

Meretz UK and Spiro Ark are delighted to invite you to a screening of and discussion about a fascinating and provocative film, HI Jew Positive. Following the cases of four individuals, the documentary reveals how many Catholic Poles discovered they were actually Jewish in origin, many decades after the end of World War II… and the effects this new knowledge has had on their lives.

Barry Cohen, a seasoned Canadian-born London-based journalist who is currently finishing his own book on the topic, will be quizzed about his own research, and has also kindly agreed to lead a post-screening talk with the audience.

The film is directed by Ronit Kertsner and was developed over 15 years. It has won much praise around the world. Ronit’s last documentary was Torn, about a man who tried to be a Catholic priest and a Jew at the same time.
