Best of Frenemies: Turkey’s Relations with Britain and Israel

Waldman will explore the impact of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s enhanced presidency and recent re-election on Ankara’s foreign policy. He is a Visiting Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies, King’s College London, and Mercator-IPC Fellow at the Istanbul Policy Centre.
His excellent analysis of Turkey’s past, present and future appeared in Haaretz. Other Waldman articles for Haaretz can be found here. Waldman recently co-authored a book with Emre Çalışkan, The New Turkey and its Discontents (OUP), which has received extensive praise. In addition Waldman released in 2015 this book: Anglo-American Diplomacy and the Palestinian Refugee Problem, 1948-51.
